The fourth meeting of EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly will take place in London on 4-5 December 2023.

The meeting will be organised in two sessions.

The first session, in the afternoon of Monday 4 December, will be open by the Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, and will be divided in two parts:

The first part, from 14.00 to 16.30, will take place in plenary and will be devoted to the following issues: The state of play within the Partnership CouncilMobility of people The second part of the session will be organised around break out groups. Members will meet in three thematic groups: Data protection FisheriesCitizens’ rights

The second session, on Tuesday 5 December in the morning, will be open by the Rt Hon the Lord McFall of Alcluith, Lord Speaker, and will take place in plenary. Members will exchange views on the following topics:

Artificial intelligenceClimate change, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism

The meeting will be co-chaired by Ms. Nathalie Loiseau, Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation, and Sir Oliver Heald, Chair of the Delegation of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

The PPA meeting will be live web-streamed on the UK Parliament YouTube channel.

Members will also participate in a number of side events with representatives of EU citizens’ organisations in the UK, European Societies of several universities, European Parliament Ambassador Schools and the University Association for Contemporary European Studies. On 6 December, they will participate in a Citizens’ gathering with 150 representatives of EU citizens’ organisations, Members States and international organisations.
